Kickstarter Launching Soon
Peng Peng the Pink Penguin
Journey with Peng Peng across the Arctic and discover what makes him and his friends special.
The Story
One of my son’s first outings was a visit to the Boston Aquarium. In the gift shop he latched onto what is now his favorite stuffed animal, a pink penguin. We named him Peng Peng, and his story grew from there.
Peng Peng is a happy little pink Penguin. But today, he is sad. He looks at his friends and see’s how special they all are. What makes Ping Ping special? Maybe Narwal knows...
As he visits all his Arctic friends you and your child will learn real life facts about theses amazing animals.
Meet a Few Characters
Peng Peng
The only North Pole Penguin, and pink to boot! He is quick to see what makes his Arctic friends special, but can’t seem to see it in himself.
Polar Bear
Did you know that polar bears can swim for up to 2 miles at a time!?
Sea Lion
Look at those eyes! And the fur! When sea lion grows up he will lose his fluffy white fur to reveal a slick skin to help him slip through the water.
The Campaign
Peng Peng will be my first book, and I am looking to self-publish. To fund the processes I will launching a Kickstarter. This will allow backers to not only support the project, but pre-order their copies of the book, along with some extras.
Every book will come with a special bookmark. The artwork is not completed, but this what I imagine it will look like.
Stretch Goals will include upgrading all copies from paperback to hardcover, and the inclusion of some new characters.
Each physical copy of the book will be signed by the author. If I figure out how to sign the eBook I’ll sign that too.
Some donor levels will include a poster (11″x17″) with original artwork, but everyone will get an eBook along with the physical version.
